Mistrust and Lies tells a story of family conflict. The main character's determination to overcome difficulties leads to her adult life in which she refused to let her own child encounter the same situations and heartbreak as she herself had to endure.We see her life from childhood to adulthood: an omnipotent parent to a mentally abusive marriage and being a single mother. This is a story of a woman with the strength and determination to overcome adversity.
About the Author
Tina Dawn Cobley was born and raised in Bristol, where from an early age she was forced into a life of family conflicts, secrets and lies. Hoping to regain her lost youth in adulthood, Tina entered a turbulent marriage where she was subjected to regular mental abuse. Choosing to not let her young son face the same difficulties she had as a child, Tina opted to raise her son alone, with the determination and strength to succeed. Tina now lives in Spain with her long-term partner. Mistrust and Lies is her first book.
